Hen pecked!

Well having moved to the country and taken up residence in a little village known as Gartly it was only inevitable that like so many country converts we should INVEST in chickens (i say invest as if i believe this to actually be lucrative, watch out Mr Gates) . Well 6 to be exact, i was unfortunately still suffering from a 3 day hangover when they were chosen. My hangover lasted three days due to the sheer quantity of booze consumed at my dads 60th and the fact that i am no longer my city dwelling match fit self! Anyhoo back to the chickens, all 6 are 10 weeks old and having never owned chickens provide me with great amusement. Names so far consist of Freebie (was a case of buy 5 get 1 free, hance freebie), Lady penelope - she is a silkie and likely to be high maintance, bully the over sized speckled sussex which goes around pecking the others.
